Yes, they were still not done with my girlfriend, METRO CARE MARKETING SERVICES called my girlfriend again today.

After victimizing and fooling her yesterday, those scammers were still not finished and tried to call her again in attempt to fool her again. Read here to know what happened yesterday.

Here’s what they did to her earlier today.

At around 11 a.m. today, May 13, a person named Ana Seneres called thru my office landline, asking for me. Tumaas kilay ko because I hate anyone mispronouncing my

name. Nagkamali kasi siya. Anyway, I entertained the caller. She said she’s from METRO CARE!!! What the…!!! After victimizing me yesterday, ito na naman sila. Ang

kapal nila tumawag sila again. The gall of these people.

So, dineresto na kaagad ni Ana Seneres sa kanilang crap spiel talking about my pre-approval and recommendation by visa/mastercard to their discount card. She was

talking bad english and diction. Just like yesterday’s caller DEREK DIZON. Tumaas na ang defenses ko to the nth level kasi nga taga METRO cARE siya. I cut her short

telling her someone from METRO CARE already called me.

‘Ah talaga Ma’am? ano ho ang panagalan?’ tanong niya.

Sabi ko DEREK DIZON.

‘Ah ganun po ba? sige. Ma’am, check namin records namin.’

Since I didn’t want her to hang up on me right away, I asked her again on the perks and priviledges of the discount card. Tapos ayaw na niya ako sagutin. Check na lang

daw niya records nila. They said they will call again but they did not. Atat na siya ibaba ang phone. But I held our conversation telling her I’m not interested in
accepting any of their offers.

‘Oh, sige po Ma’am. Check ko po ang records.’

And I was about to confirm na sa Friday, May 14 nga ba talaga darating ang package ng card (which they promised), SHE HANG UP ON ME!!!! Atat na talaga siya makawala sa

conversation namin!!! Damn her!!! And what record is she talking about to check?!!! Scammers talaga sila.

I tried calling her again sa 729-0729 pero wala nang sumasagot.

Then I called my boyfriend right away na may tumawag ulit sakin. At sinabi ko na inaway ko siya. Sayang! sabi ng BF. Sana hinayaan ko lang siya magdakdak sa spiel niya
at nirecord ko para may evidence ako. SAYANG TALAGA!!!

How lucky can i get???!!! Twice ako sinubukang lokohin ng punyetang METRO CARE na yan!!!

I WILL PURSUE MY CASE SA DTI!!!

We did some more research on METRO CARE MARKETING SERVICES and we found out that this scamming company is under one umbrella company called SMD Marketing Corp.

Aside from that, we also found so many horror stories. Many of them.

We found the most informative details about METRO CARE MARKETING SERVICES in this blog. You can also get other details here. The Dailyscamalerts website offers more comprehensive means as to how you can avert further deception by these scammers. Thread commentators warn to:

1.) Never to entertain telemarketers. EVER.

2.) Never to divulge any of your credit card details (even though METRO CARE MARKETING SERVICES and SMD Marketing Corp. may already know these).

3.) If the conversation between your and METRO CARE MARKETING SERVICES has already been done, immediately call your credit card provider and block any transaction from these scammers.

4.) If you have had given your credit card’s confidential info, DO NOT SIGN ANY RECEIPT INVOICE from the courier. They usually claim that this is your signed contract.

5.) In the event that you have signed the “contract,” try to file a complaint with the DTI.

It’s interesting how this SCAM has been operating since 2006. And the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has been sitting on their case since then, considering the volume of complaints and people they have victimized.

If you are a credit card holder or you know people who do, please help us in curbing this fraudulent company’s illegal, deceptive and troublesome SCAM. Please spread the word.

    It seems they have not updated their record kaya natawagan ulet ang gf mo. Fax them a cancellation letter and have it signed by them. SCB should not charge your gf, that transaction should still be FLOATING dahil wla p nmn cia signed docs.

    i’ve had the same problem.. although floating ung amount… nakacharge na daw un. i even called up metrobank and told me not to give my 3 digit number.. sabi ko wala naman akong binibigay. hindi ko pinirmahan ung transaction slip.

    basta. you’re safe kapag wala kang pinirmahan. then still file a dispute with your bank.

    yung sa GF ko, sinabi ng bank na wala na ang floating transaction. but we’re still waiting for the billing statement to arrive this june. para ma-confirm nga na di na naka-post ang transaction.

    tama ang ginawa mo na wala kang pinirmahan.

    I was victimized too by SMD Marketing last May 19 by YRL Nicolai (ganda ng name at unique db?), to make the story short, I searched the net about SMD and eventually gathered information that the company was legit but what they were doing was scam. Upon checking to my credit bank, a Php 5850 was already floating to my account. May 22, the package arrived at my house. I refused to receive it. I told to the courier that Iā€™m not interested anymore with the said VIP Card. He then called somebody to his cp. I was stunned for what Iā€™ve heard. . ā€œHello, Kay Sir Ding. . .ā€ and the courier handed his cp to me to talk to ā€œDingā€. Then I asked ā€œWhoā€™s this?ā€ the person Iā€™m talking with says, ā€œSir Eric, si YRL NICOLAI to sir. . .ā€ I still insisted that I will not receive the package. Today Mr. Ding called me and told that it (5850) will automatically charged to my account after 15 days. Is this true?

    – Si Yrl Nicolai at Ding ay iisa lang at malang sila din ung ibang names na tumawag sa inyo.
    – Sabi sa mag blogs na nbsa ko, bastaā€™t hindi ko naaccept yung package and signed anything, hindi daw un mgchacharge sa account ko.
    – Kapag nacharge nmn, mag file daw letter of dispute.

      ercz, na-bill na yung floating transaction sa card mo? ano na nangyari? paano raw i-ddispute? help naman din kasi sa case ko, nabigay ko yung 3-digit number sa back ng credit card kasi sabi nila nung una associated sila sa citibank. pero wala pa yung package saken. may laban pa ba ako i-dispute yung transaction sa citibank? thanks in advance sa mga tutulong.

      on the issue as to how Metro Care Marketing Services were able to get your credit card information, aming napag-alam na nakukuha nila yun sa mga agents ng mga credit card providers/banks. binebenta sa kanila. bali meron na silang credit card information mo, lahat. pwera lang sa 3-digit verification code.

      pero basing sa aming experience at ayon na rin sa aming mga lawyer friends, hindi na nila kailangan yung verification code. kasi ang transaction procedure nila nga ay online pero ginagamitan nila ng manual encoding (no swiping ng card.)

      tignan mo kapag dumating na ang package may bank slip. please don’t sign it. kasi it will stand as your signature as this will stand as closure to the transaction.

      as long as you don’t sign it and when your credit card billing statement arrives at nandun pa ang P5,850, pwede mo nang i-dispute sa bank ang whole transaction kasi walang mapapakita ang Metro Care na signature na proof nila of your transaction.

    thanks el postolero. kaso ang problema ko, nakuha nila ang 3-digit code ko. tsk! bad trip ‘tong mga ‘to. sabi sa july daw mag-ccharge, pero pagtanong ko sa citibank, nag-charge na nga. wala pa rin yung package saken. kaso hawak na nila ang 3-digit card number ko sa back ng card. may laban ba ako to dispute?

      dont accept the package and dont sign it anything from them at all. If the 5850 will still reflect on your statement, file a dispute, your cc company will investigate and if found that there’s no signed slip on the said transaction. you’ll win.

    my friends’s credit card account is now free from the 5850 that floated last week. What he did was he did not sign the acknowledgment receipt of the “package”. The acknowledgement receipt is a transaction slip. While the 5850 is floating on your credit card statement, dont sign anything from them. If it wasnt removed, file a dispute letter. Also, he blocked his credit card na rin.

    Here’s the number of the person from Metrocare 09166742289, he REALLY CLAIMED that you are applying for a METROBANK credit card, and he will double your credit limit pa daw, one active credit card lang ang kailangan, ang kapal dba, pati daw Eastwest bank handle nya. He’s just after the commission, kanina tumawag na ulit, ang kapal tlga. How can he survive sa nakaw na pera.

    thanks for the advise raymond. kaso nakuha ba yung 3-digit number at the back of the credit card yung sa friend mo? yung saken kasi nakuha. may laban pa ba ako kung i-dispute ko yung transaction? i-cclaim ng Metro Care na valid yung transaction kasi binigay ko yung 3-digit number. kaya ko binigay, kaso associated daw sila sa credit card company ko.

      naku, mahirap na yan. what you can do is have them cancel the transaction. they might even demand for a cancellation fee. according to our research, di fixed ang cancellation fee nila.
      minsan 1200 or 1800 or higher pa. kapal no? tapos mag-file ka ng complaint sa DTI. pwede thru their website.

      mahirap na, kasi napirmahan na ang docs. šŸ˜¦

      yup nkuha nila yung 3 digit kaya nga nkapagprocess ng online transaction, pero floating pa yun sa bank kaya oks lang, pero my friend did not accept the package and did not sign the receipt. Ayun, ok na, wala na sa statement nya yung 5850, pero nagpachange card na rin sya to make sure na hndi ulit gagawan ng transaction. And I dont think that they are associated with any other bank, its only their way na lokohin ang customer. Nung tumawag ulit si Paul Rodriguez (from metrocare) sabi nya may kilala daw sya sa metrobank at eastwest kaya parating na yung card, as in parating na daw, creditcard lang daw inooffer nya, kaso yung friend ko may friends from metrobank and eastwest at pinahanap nya name nya sa database, wala ang name nya dun sa mga credit card applicants. And when my friend asked Paul if taga metrocare sya, sabi ni Paul hindi daw nya alam yun. Ang katangahan ni Paul, d nya alam na sya ang nagprocess ng metrocare card ng friend ko, nakasave ang number nya sa phone ng friend ko tpos idedeny nya na taga metrocare sya? bullshit.

        oks sige. hindi ko nalang pirmahan or tanggapin yung package. nabanggit naman saken na kailangan ko lang daw pirmahan yun for acknowledgement tapos tumawag ako agad sa kanila..

        akala ko once makuha nila yung 3-digit number sa likod ng credit card, considered as closed transaction na yun. buti hindi pala. wala pa rin kasi saken yung package, hindi pa rin dumarating. hintayin ko nalang, pati yung sa statement ng credit card ko, tingnan ko kung hindi matatanggal. thanks el pistolero and raymond.

    walang bayad ang replacement ng card pag fraud. lost or damaged card caused by the card holder lang ang may replacement fee. check your welcome kit for your credit card. or tawag ka ulit sa credit card mo para ibang phone banker ang makasagot. inconsistent kasi sila. in my case, girls ang honest saken. pag lalaki nakasagot, hindi honest tska tamad mag-assist ng requests ko. siguro kasi biased dahil male din ako. in your case, baka boys ang favorable para sa’yo.

    guys… i guess i have same problem with jl. Eric Reyes of Metro care called me yesterday (June,29) and he said that i was highly recommended by my CC provider to avail their (Platinum Card po ang tawag niya d2) alam din nya lahat ng info’s ko i asked him kung san niya nakuha and he said from my bank nga daw. He confirmed to me the info’s and the sad thing is i gave him the 3 digit at the back of my card i was confused kasi ang bilis niya magsalita. Sabi pa niya, lucky daw ako kc i was chosen to have their VIP card. sabi ko, no ayaw ko kasi baka kautangan nnman yan and he said hindi po mam wag po kayo mag worry. he still keeps on blabbing kahit diko na naiintindihan and then suddenly may kumausap ba girl named Shiela Domingo Marketing Manager daw na nag we-welcome as a new member daw. hindi pa nga ako nakapag decide e. i tried to answer but she gave the phone back to erick and he said mam you just need to pay one time registration fee for P5,850 12 months to pay. sabi ko ay, hindi ako mag aavail nyan di ko kasi yan magagamit ang sagot ng mokong “di na ppwede kasi na process na.. pagkababa ng phone tumwag agad ako sa bank and ayun may floating na daw ako na P5,850. and the sad part here is i talked to the bank’s CSR and she said na kahit wala akong pinirmahan eh ma cha2rge parin sakin un dahil sa 3 digits ng card ko..request daw ako ng cancellation sa Metro CAre pano ko un marerequest eh di nga makontak mga # nila? nakakasira tlga to ng araw… guys pls help me naman po.

    here’s what you have to do:
    – call your credit card company to block your card (to avoid further unauthorized/fraudulent transactions to be made by Metrocare demons). clarify if you need to pay for the replacement fee. in my case, it is free of charge since replacement reason is for fraud, and not for lost or damaged card
    – wait for your statement of account
    – wait for the package from the courier. once the courier has arrived, make sure to video it. ask for a companion to get a video of you and the courier stating that you will not receive the package. this is important, DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING
    – if the floating transaction is gone, then your problem is solved
    – otherwise, that’s the only time you can file for a dispute letter. credit card companies have no facility to cancel this transaction because you have disclosed the 3-digit code at the back of the card, indicating a “valid” transaction

      Nagoyo din po ako. JLM Travel and tours nman ang modus nila.. hindi po ako nag sign na narecieve ko po ang package yong kasamahan ko sa trabaho sa ibang branch po pinadala. May laban pa po ba ako nyan? Ano po gagawin ko? Kasi nka file napo ako ng dispute and under investigation pa po. Pero napirmahan ng kasama ko. Na dapat para sa akin ang package na yon.

    napa blocked ko na po last night yung card ko kaso di nila ma check yung floating transacation kasi nag u-update sila ng system that time. i need to pay P200 for replacement. naka ilang tawag ako sa MetroCare kanina di naman sila makontak. Nag email na din ako sa DTI pero wala pong response. di pa dumadating yung package eh. sundin ko nalang po yung mga sinabi nyo d2. ill let you know po kung anu mangyayari.

      just DONT sign or accept anything from them. usually may dadating na “delivery” daw syo. yung Delivery receipt nila kc is transaction slip. Now if metrocare can’t show any signed transaction slip to your CC company, then your CC will cancel the floating amount automatically.

    i called my bank this afternoon. tinanong ko kung hindi ko i-receive ang package and hindi ko pipirmahan hindi nako machacharge. sabi ng CSR, valid transaction daw yon and approved na ng banko, nabayaran na ng bank ang MetroCare. parang ibig sabihin ng CSR hiindi na ako pwedeng mag request ng dispute dahil valid transaction nga daw. dumating man ang package or hinde pirmahan ko man or not valid parin? ang chance ko nalang daw eh makipag cooperate sa metrocare para mag request ng charge memo or cancellation ng transaction. hays guys i need your help po kung anu na gagawin ko šŸ˜¦

Ang masaklap po sa akin, may napirmahan na po ko and then nag fax po ko ng cancellation letter in Metro care Marketing coz di ko po babayaran and then naginquire po ko sa HSBC credit card ko po and to find-out na pasok na po yung amount na 5,850.00 sa statement of account ko po. Ano po yung gagawin ko po? Again, tulungan niyo po ko coz di ko na po makontak yung metrocare po.

      I have exact bad experience with this scam company METROCARE MKTG SERVICES. My consultant name is JASMINE GARCIA. It seems that they have tailored and studied well on how to avoid being catch/Tag as fraudulent transactions. They were well trained too on what to say to revert from accepting the offer. Same rin ung cnbi saken dated Nov 19, 2010 from presentation until the package arrived even nung sinabi ko s courier nila i wont accept nor sign the receipt. Then inabot na lang sken nung delivery guy cell phone nya kc c tinawagan nya consultant ko- JASMINE GARCIE. She told me na hindi raw mare-reverse un kc na charge and na ino-rder to reverse the charge i need to sign nga raw so i followed her instruction kahit i feel na dpat hindi. I was thinking n bka ganun ung process nila talaga. in short i was cooperative without knowing na that will become their hard evidence from me accepting the transaction. I was intructed either to email or fax cancellation request to facilitate the cancelation which i did same day. Sabi nya i should receive a call 7-10 business for the results of my request (subject for evalaution pa raw’ F***s*** lang talaga) in short, wala ako na receive na call. I made a follow up email appending my original request back in Jan 3, 2011 to no avail. I keep on calling from Dec to Jan 03 but same thing phone just keep on ringing until i get busy tone. So today, Jan 18, 2011 i called (729-7152) i was able to talk to JASMINE GARCIA for the results of request-Bad news it was denied raw so she made a second appeal for cancellation(i don’t get the point because i requested to cancel it from Day 1) She promised to call me back the most daw Jan 19, 2011. im sure nagpe-prepare lang un ng better reason for denying my request. She was combative and tried to lecture on me the difference between monitored and recorded call, as if hindi ko alam eh trabaho ko un s service industry. I know hopeless case na un kc mga mukhang pera cla. Saka i don’t have evidence, reason i am asking for the recorded call though, na monitor lang daw un (remotely or live). I can pay that small amount but i can’t accept the fact that i was fooled and paid for something worthless. I pitty her cause she can’t get a decent job. Saka magtagalog na lang xa mali-mali pronunciation nya eh. I only wish na ma-bankrupt cla ng matpaos na pang loloko nila.

Sabi po niya, pag di ko po nireceived young package magbabayad parin po ko ng 5,850.00 po tapos ako naman po na GAGA ni received ko po and then ilang araw po tumawag po ko sa HSBC and nalaman ko po na pasok na po yung 5,850.00 sa billing ko po and then pinagaitan ko po yung HSBC bakit nalaman ni JAMES CHUA ng METROCARE yung information ko po and telephone number na wala naman akong pinagbibigyan.And the following days, po tumawag po ko sa METROCARE to cancel this privilege care and JAMES CHUA say that kailangan ko po magfax ng cancellation letter and then pinafallow-up ko po yung cancellation mahirap na po silang tawagan.Please ano po yung gagawin ko po? Again, tulungan niyo naman po ko.

      The delivery receipt that you have signed is the transaction slip that metrocare will present to your CC company to process the floating transaction. Im sorry to say but you have been fooled when they said that whether you sign it or not, it will reflect.

    ganun na sign mo na pla. ask mo sila kasi sila may alam nyan. yung akin naman po walang dumating na kahit anung package from metrocare more than 1 week na. statement ko today, pag check ko sa billing ko thru phone 200php ung lumabas yun yung card replacement fee. wala akong nakausap na CSr kasi busy kaya operator lang yun. ibig ba sabihin nun wala na yung P5,850 sa account ko?

        diane, better check with a CSR of your credit card company kung may floating transaction pa nga talaga from Metrocare.

    Tumawag sakin ang Metrocare June 29. cut off ko July 9. tapos nung July 11 pag check ko P200 ung naka charge ung replacement fee. di ako nasatisfied sa operator kumausap ako ng CSR, then sabi nya merun pa daw akong floating 5,850. di daw kasi sya nakasama sa charge sakin. floating daw yun ng 15 days. wala pa kasing dumadating na package from metrocare until now. 2 weeks na. panu na kaya un?

      grabe ha, nageevolve na ang kanilang pagconvince sa mga tao to pay up. now kailangan may cash at hand na to cancel the transaction.

      pasensya ka na rhea at this is the first time that i’ve encountered such a situation. i don’t know if i am the right person to advise you on what to do. i guess it’s best to consult a lawyer about this. im sure you know somebody na lawyer. tanong mo lang if its legal for them to establish all the terms of the cancellation.

      pasensya ka na at hindi ko rin kasi alam how this will end up. first time ko rin naencounter kasi na kailangan ng cash at hand to have the transaction cancelled. sorry.

    Naku, Isa rin ako sa mga biktima.

    It sounded really nice kasi and then ang bilis nila magsalita. Ang masama I also gave the 3 digit number sa likod ng card ko.

    Now, ito na nangyari, last friday (July 30) meron dumating sa office namin na taga Citylimits nga. Then buti nalang wala ako sa office nun. Then nung saturday, nagtext sa akin yung “Consultant” ko. Ang number pa niya ay 09323430899 and ang pangalan nya ay Cacharel. Then ang kulit about it kung i-cancell ko, then dami ko rin gagawin. Tapos babalik daw yung courier ng Monday (Aug 2) para ibigay. From what I read here, hindi ko tatangapin yung package. Now, I called BDO and meron ngang Floating na 5850 sa akin. Sabi nga sakin ng CSR wala silang magagawa dahil floating pa. Until now,tinetext ako at wala daw akong magagawa at sila lang ang may authority mag cancel ng request.

    Ang madugas dito sabi na sa August pa daw yung statement eh July 23 palang naka floating na. Grabe talaga.

    May mga tanong din ako.

    1. Do I really have to block my card na? Sayang din kasi pero kailangan ba talaga? Or pag tapos na yung floating, ok na?
    2. If I do not receive the package, which I also plan to video na hindi ko siya na receive, hindi ba ma charge ito sa akin? Ganun ba ang BDO? Kasi parang the CSR was not really helpful about this. The CSR did not even say na ang floating is between 15-14 days. Now, hindi rin sinabi which card na charge so I already used my BDO card yesterday. WAla naman kaso yun diba?

    3. August 15 pa yung cutoff ng card ko so meron pa nga akong 15days for that floating thing. Grabe talaga. Then yung “COnsultant” ko, text ng text sa akin, na wala daw akong magagawa at siya lang ang makaka pag cancel ng transaction and dapat sabihan ko na siya para magawa na raw nya. Meron ba talaga silang power to do that? Hindi ko naman tatangapin yung package nila. Kasi kahit sabi nila na Recorded yung conversation namin, hindi parin tapos yung transaction kaya I can still decline diba?

    Grabe dito ko lang nalaman lahat ng ito. Hindi ako mapakali. To think I pay my cc bills on time and full amount pa, masisisra lang ang standing ko dahil sa scam na ito. Nakakainis at parang ang helpless ko.

    nabiktima din ako ng bwisit na metrocare na yan,pero hindi ko pinirmahan yung charge slip, tas pagcheck ko ng account ko my floating na 5,850.00 pinablock ko yung card ko.. pro ngayon bigla nalang nawala yung 5,850.00.. siguro marami na ang nagrereklamo sa kanila, mainit na sila kaya napilitan silang icancel ung mga transactions… wag kayo pipirma sa charge slip at wag magb2yad pagnagoffer sila n icacancel nila pero mgb2yad ka ng 800.00 pesos..

        Kung sa hotel nga na discount cards hindi sila ganun ka aggressive mag benta ito pa kaya. I’d also rather pay the 6-7k for that kesa sa 5850 na scam.

    too bad i also scammed few hours ago…a certain cacharel collin called me na entitled daw ako sa VIP card at ang banko ko daw nagbigay ng approval, sinabi ng agent na once i used my cc mastercard or visa present ko lng daw un vip card then almost half of my purchases will be discounted. I told her i dont want to avail it. But she insisted at dahil maboladas she got the 3 digit pin of my cc. She also told me na kung ayaw ko gamitin ang card nasa discretion ko yon at di ako mabi-bill to what they call processing fee. Then a certain sheila talk to me to welcome me daw mabilis siya at di nag entertain ng question then handed the phone to the agent. Ilang beses kong inulit na kahit nasa akin na card di ako ma charge unless i activated it by calling her, so naging kampante ako. After the call something urge me to search about city limits then i found out that its a scam. I immediately call my bank and to found out the amount of 5850 aldready floating in my acct. I ask the csr ano gagawin ko she said na it will reflect daw 3-5 banking days at if ever mag reflect (but i already asked her to block my card)mag send daw ako ng letter of dispute. Now i have to pay pa replacement fee for my cards dahil pinablocked ko na lahat. Hope di na magreflect un sa bill ko at wala akong balak tanggapin ang package nila. Tnx at may mga ganitong forum to warned those na hindi pa na victimized ng mga walang hiyang tao at makakapal na mukha sa citylimits na yan. If ever can i have a sample copy of letter of dispute if somebody here has one. tnx…

    Just donā€™t accept the package.
    If they call you or bother you, ignore them.
    Thatā€™s what I did.
    The last time Eric Reyes called me, i told him to go F%&K himself.
    The floating transaction was gone after 2 weeks, and the manong delivery didnā€™t return anymore.

    My card was BPI. I didn’t need to file a dispute, and I had my card changed instead, for free. If fraud cases, the bank issues a new card with a different number for free.

Good thing your replacement card is free for me eventhough i narrated the situation sa bank csr they will still charge me with replacement fee…hayssss….both card kasi nakuha nila security so i had no choice but to have it replaced.         basta, dont accept the package tapos takutin mo ang courier. like video taping the whole transaction when the package arrives. ganun ginawa namin eh. and u can give us a copy. we will upload it on youtube.

        basta, be discrete na walang makakilala sa iyo sa video. para protected ang identity mo.

        then barahin mo ang courier. bakit both cards ang chinarge nila kahit isang tao ka lang. dito mo makikita na ang dugas talaga nila para lang makabenta.

        be wary. upon delivery, pag tinanggihan mo na, papakausapin sa iyo si cacharel collin or some agent to convince you (aka threaten you) to accept the package.

        dont believe anything he says. just dont accept the package and dont sign anything.

    she really has an annoying name talaga! wala pa rin ang package and if it arrives i’m planning talaga to have it captured in video at madakdakan ng husto ang messenger coz i think they know everything about it they’re just playing innocent.They did’nt charge nmn both kaso i blocked it na rin dahil they also knew the other card para di na nila magamit just in case.

    too bad… dumating ngayun ang package around 9am pero wala ako. My aunt told them na wala nga ako at sabi daw ng courier “sayang nmn po ito kung ibabalik ko pa malayo din po un” my aunt told him na “eh walang mag rerecieve nyan eh”. So after that matagal pa daw un courier sa labas ng gate sitting in his motorcycle at may kausap sa cellphone. After an hour or two may tumatawag sa phone from makati i guess dahil 8 di na in-entertain ng aunt ko and kept the phone ringing. I was rehearsing pa nmn what to say to the caller and messenger, hehehe…hope and pray di na magreflect sa bill ko.

    @jax -wala nmn ng nagtxt beside sa phone call at buti nga wag na silang magaksaya dahil la sila mapapala. tnx for ur reply…

      Ganun yung unang beses silang dumating. It happened that I was running late to work kaya umalis rin yung courier nila. That was a Friday and then nung saturday tinetext na ako ng Cacharel Collin na yan. Dun na ako tinatakot.

      Malamang they will try to contact you again for you to receive the package. Remember what ever they say, do not accept or sign anything. Mawawala rin yung floating na yan.

    Hi, share ko experience ko. Someone named Carl Sy from Metrocare called sa office kanina lang and did his spiels. Sobrang bilis niyang magsalita at hindi ko talaga sya maintindihan, tawa pa sya ng tawa while doing his spiels kaya mas lalo ako walang naintindihan sa mga pinagsasabi niya. Then all of a sudden, ang sinasabi na pala niya is un cc number ko Eastwest. Nagtaka ako kasi bakit nya alam un, pati office address ko and maiden name. Tapos a certain Monique Apacible of Citilimits naman welcomed me and told me na may papasok na P5850 sa cc ko as membership. Kinabahan nga ako baka scam yun, so tumawag kagad ako sa bank ko and found out na may pumasok na P6950, pero floating pa naman sya. I immediately requested to block the card and ask for replacement.

    Pag hindi ko ba talaga ni-receive ung package, mawawala yung amount sa cc ko? Pwede rin kasi na i-forge nila yun. I need help!

      Wow! 6950 na pala ang chinacharge nila! Grabe! Did you give out the last 3 digit ng card mo sa likod? Kasi style nila na kunwari alam nila when they start out with the 1st 4 digits. Pero minsan alam talaga nila.

      Pag dumating man ang package, huwag na huwag mong tatangapin nor pipirma ng kahit ano, If you want you can look at the papers. May makikita kang Charge slip from the bank na pinag floatingan. That means they still NEED to have your signature for the transaction to materialize.

      Again, kahit anong text or tawag sa iyo para tangapin, huwag kayong pipirma or tangapin ang package. Kusang mawawala yang floating amount.

      Post ka lang dito and marami tutulong sa iyo, marami akong natutunan sa blog na ito and marami narin natulungan. Don’t worry, alot of people have beaten this scam na, may laban tayo dito.

Ilang beses ko sinabi sa kanya na gusto ko na ipacancel yung VIP Card na yan dahil hindi ko rin naman magagamit at mababayaran, pero nagpipilit parin sya kasi bayad na daw un and pumayag daw ako sa offer niya, eh hindi naman talaga. Hay nakakainis talaga! Tapos after the call, mga ilang minutes lang dumating na ung package. I didnt accept it and instead pina-photocopy ko lahat ng pinapasign nya sa akin. And this certain “Nestor Ponce” un messenger.

      Ngayon, update ko nalang ung card ko if na-drop na ung floating transaction.

The president of my credit card provider already promised me to look into my case and possibly block charges made into by Metrocare to its other clients.
    I tried to verify from the Securities and Exchange Commission if the company was registered but it isn’t. This leaves a question then on how come unregistered companies like Metrocare Marketing Corp. are able to do business with banks?

    however, with your help and your connections, we already have the advantage in this situation. me and my girlfriend will personally help out if any of you are willing to push for a class suit.

    being in the PR business, i too have connections but yours is better. i have a journalist friend who’s covering DTI and i asked for a contact that could help. however, i erased the contact number by mistake. so i was not able to get in touch with that DTI official.

    thanks on the info that Metro Care is not listed in the SEC. i’ve also been in touch with friends in Makati (it’s been said that they have an office there) and i’ve gathered info that Metro Care was not issued a business permit meaning they are illegally operating.

    i hope i could get in touch with you and i personally will crush these scammers.

      nangako na aasikasuhin pero until now wala pa rin … bahala ang credit card provider … i won’t pay a single penny for Metrocare or financial charge they’ll incur …

    So hindi pala sila registered sa SEC, mga bwisit sila. Also, ang hirit pa sa akin dun sa text nung Cacharel Collin na yun, kung hindi sila Legal eh hindi papasok yung charge. Eh hello, pumasok yung charge kasi naloko nila yung tao into giving their information.

      i’ve corresponded with crazy_girl and we’ve come up with some kind of solution, well, pwede na siyang sagot sa problema.

      with her connections, crazy_girl was able to convince a bank official to review Metro Care and confirm with their credit card patrons whenever Metro Care enters a transaction under the client’s name. so parang ang mangyayari, lagi munang ichecheck ng bank sa credit card holder basta mag-enter ang Metro Care ng charge under their name.

      at least this is a good solution on the bank’s end to protect their customers. at least this is a step di ba para wala nang mabiktima pa?

      i was told that HSBC already implements this kind of protocol. pero medyo sketchy pa ang means nila. we have to try to convince our credit card providers to do this kind of protocol. i think we should all try to convince the own banks to protect all their credit card holders. no one’s safe di ba? they wouldn’t know if their hired third party agent suddenly quits and sells confidential credit info of their clients.

      i guess the best step is to file a complaint and suggest this protocol to your own bank. or send an email to a bank executive or to personally confront a bank manager. i don’t know, kanya-kanya na lang na diskarte.

      i guess this is a step, guys, para wala nang mabiktima ang Metro Care. nakakatakot kasi ang dami ko nang friends na nababalitaang nadadamay. malay ninyo ang maging sunod na biktima eh kamag-anak nyo or kaibigan. we can do something about this. pahirapan din natin ang Metro Care. inaagrabiyado nila tayo. pahirapan din natin sila.

      PS Metro Care is not listed with the PSE di ba? sabi ni crazy_girl, they’re probabaly accredited by the DTI. and since DTI is turning a cold shoulder on us, it’s better that we work this out with our banks. BDO is the bank that backs up Metro Care. it recognizes their business. kasi nga listed with the DTI. if your bank is BDO, kausapin natin sila and try to convince them to drop Metro Care. and siste kasi, basta may backer na acquiring bank, other banks will follow. kasi that bank trusts that merchant.

      i hope you guys will also help us. crazy_girl and i are pulling some strings here to take down this scam. katulad ng pagtulong ko sa inyo, sana tulungan ninyo rin ako. this is a personal vendetta. i’m sure kayo rin nasaktan at masama ang loob sa mga scammer na ito. it’s payback time.

        I believe they’re backup by RCBC also … from what HSBC told us … they’ll check with RCBC how the transaction was made without swiping the card … until now we’re waiting for their reply to nullify the charges ….

    Baka dahil talaga dun sa 3 digit card number na binigay natin. Yung sabi naman sa akin ng BDO and HSBC, all they need is the 3 digit number to make a transaction.

      granted na binigay na yung 3 digit number … how were they able to produce the “thermal slip” na usually produce whenever you swipe your card … means you have to physically have the card on hand to swipe it and sign the thermal paper … unless they produce a fake card” with your information inprinted on it to work …

        wala silang thermal slip AFAIK. ang meron is yung carbon paper, in which you will sign to legalize the transaction and you accept the terms and conditions of the merchant. meron din saken pinakita na isa pang papel, yun ang parang acknowledgement receipt.

    nabiktima din ako ng metrocare this morning. ang sabi ni cacharel collin ay ibbill lang nila ako once i received the package and informed her na i will i be using the privilege card. paulit ulit kong knonfirm un sa kanya.

    sensing that something is not right, i called my bank and to my surprise, ncharge na ako agad! hayup! halos 30 minutos pa lang ang nakaraan ncharge na ako. i was advised to call them and ask for the cancellation and credit memo.

    grabe, ang hirap nilang kontakin! ng mkontak ko ay dndeny na nya n xa c cacharel at ng early lunch daw. c nicole rivera ang ng receive ng call ko at finally ng mkausap ko c cacharel (after calling them several times and not giving up kahit pindot cl ng pindot sa phone kahit me nghhello sa kabilang line), guess what? alam na alam nya ang isasagot sa mga questions na nraise ko kay nicole. hanep!!!!

    since alam ko na its useless to argue with them, tinawagan ko na lang ang bank and insisted na inote nl ang problema ko. hindi ko na lang ttanggapin ung package and will file a dispute letter. btw, alam naman pala ng bank na scam ang metro care, however, wl clang gnagawang aksyon pr protektahan ang mga clients nl. tsk tsk tsk. icclose ko na tlga itong card ko na to.

    Naku! Si Cacharel Collin ang nambiktima saken! Walang kwenta yan. Ganun at ganun din sinabi saken na hindi ako ma bill until pag dating ng card.

    Nakuha nila yung charges kasi dahil sa last 3 digits sa likod ng card.

    Ganito, what you have to do is when the package comes, huwag na huwag ninyo tangapin. As in, kahit ano pa ang itext ni Cacharel sa iyo, or kung ano anong pananakot ang gawin niya, huwag mong tatangapin ang package. Kung hindi mo siya tangapin, then kusang mawawala ang floating charge.

    Makulit yang si Cacharel, she will text you na floating na nga yung charge, tapos sasabihin niya na sila lang ang may authority na mag cancell ng transaction. Hindi tototo yan. Basta huwag niyong tangapin ang package at WALA KAYONG PIPIRMAHAN pag dating ng package mawawala rin yan. Try reading the other post din to get more details.

    Loko yan, hangang ngayon nambibiktima parin. Don’t worry, alot of people here have gone thru this and won. Kaya yan. Pag tangal ng floating charge, ipa repalce mo narin ang credit card mo kasi hindi na siya secure.

    Naku!!! Sakit sa ulo. Kanina hapon lang may tumawag sakin and ang sabi Platinun Card daw. Jake Robles naman ang nakausap ko. Hanep sa bilis mag-salita. St*pid me binigay ko yung dalawang cc numbers ko (Metrobank and EastWest yun). Recommended nga daw ng bank kaya napili ako. Ganun din yung fee na sinabi, P5850. Engot ko nagconfirm ako pero sabi ko I would just call them in case I change my mind. Sabi pa nga sa November pa daw naman lalabas sa bill ko yung 5850. PAg uwi ko sa bahay sinearch ko lang yung pangalan ni Jake Robles and napunta ako dito. Nanlambot na ako. Di ko na matawagan ang Metrobank kasi gabi na and di naman daw macheck ng EastWest kasi may system update daw. Di ko naman nabigay yung 3 digit number sa likod ng credit card and di ko talaga ibibigay yun. Ang worry ko kasi nag-confirm ako through phone though di ko nga binigay yung 3 digit code sa likod ng cc. Palagay nyo ba kung wala akong pipirmahan na kahit ano pag dating ng package di na ako maccharge? I’m really worried. Pero buti talaga nakita ko itong site na ito. Ivvideo ko talaga pag dumating yung magdedeliver. So intayin ko na lang yung magdedliver and sabunin ko ( ^_^ ) or subukan ko pa icancel sa Metro Card? Waste of time? First thing in the morning I’ll call my bank and have them blocked my cards. Eversince I received my Metro and EastWest cc kung sino sino na tumatawag. May Cardlink pa. Pero yun napacancel ko and di sila katulad nitong Metro Card. Hardcore!

    nakakatawang nakakainis kanina. Tumawag ako sa Metro Care. nung una nakausap ko yung Jane Isidro (malamang di tunay na pangalan. Sabi pa nga na sana kaninang pagkatawag ko na eh kaso wala naman fax kung nasan ako. 7-10 working days daw ang processing. After siguro mga 10-15 seconds, tumawag ulit ako para itanong kung may cancellation fee (kasi diba yung iba sinisingil. Di ko maalala o kung guni guni ko lang na nabasa na chinarge pa daw ang cancellation fee sa credit card)at si Gene Manani naman ang nakausap ko. Hinanap ko si Jane sabi umalis na daw. Kako ang bilis naman parang si Flash Gordon. Until 1pm lang daw si Jane at sya daw ang kapalit. Samantalang sabi ni Jane halfday lang ang office nila kasi Saturday. Sya naman ang tinanong ko about sa cancellation letter. 5-7 banking days daw ang processing at sabi nya walang cancellation fee! Twice ko tinanong sa kanya. Nakakatawang nakakagigil na tong mga taong ito!

    Tumawag naman ako sa EastWest and may confirmation ako from the CSR (na mas matinong kausap) na floating lang daw ang transaction and mageexpire ito within 15 days kung walang maipresent na charge slip ang merchant. Sinigurado ko talaga sa kanya na floating iyon at hindi posted. Oo daw. So malamang sa malamang mawawala na lang ng kusa yung 5850 na floating.Di na daw kailangan ng cancellation letter from the merchant! Sinabi ko nga sa bakit pinapahintulutan pa din nila tong Metro Care? Kung wala ba silang anti fraud dept? Meron daw sila pero kasi meron din naman daw nagaavail ng discount card na ito. Naisip ko na lang baka ito yung wala nang nagawa.

    May nakasubok na bang magtanong sa mga boutiques or restaurants, etc kung tinatanggap ang Metro Care? La lang napaisip lang.

    This is a sad news to me and my family, HSBC has decline the dispute we have filed last May 2010 to their office citing that the receipt with my wifes signature affix on it was all the proof that they needed to proceed in charging us this scam … My wife intends to pursue her plea with HSBC tomorrow …

    Oh well, worst comes to worst, we’ll just leave it as is. Bad rep coming from HSBC doesn’t do justice in this case and we’ll leave them hanging if they want to.

The usual scamming dialog, he was convincing my officemate to give his account detail on his credit card, nakakainis pa nito, nagbanggit pa sya kunyari ng number sabi nya,” di ba sir ang credit card number nyo ay 3..1..2…” with matching pauses on each number, siguro naghihintay na itama ng kasama ko yung maling account numbers na sinasabi nya. habang naguusap sila, chinecheck na ng kasama ko sa internet yung tungkol sa company nya at nung nalaman nyang scam pala, niloloko nya na lang yung mga sagot nya… hanggang sa nainis na lang yung MIKE GOMEZ at tinanong sya na, ” Sir ia-avail nyo pa po ba yung promo?”, my officemate plainly answered “NO”, sabay bagsak ng phone. Hehe.

    I advised him to immediately call his bank to make sure na walang transaction na naganap at ipa-block nya agad ang METROCARE kung sakali mang may gawing kabulastugan ang mga balasubas.

    Salamat Boyong for posting threads on this kind of stuff, nagiging aware ang mga kaibigan natin na wag maloko ng mga scammers na tulad nito.

    Hi! Nagkaroon din po ako ng same experience pero po sa JLM Travel and tours. Tinawagan nila ako at inalok na mag avail ng VIP Gold Card daw nila. Nagtanong sila ng details about sa credit card ko and sad to say, apti ung 3digits sa likod ng card naibigay ko.. Ayun, tumawag ako sa provider ko and sabi din na floating ung transaction pero hindi na daw un macacancel..         wala pa.. i-follow up ko na lang daw.. pumunta ako sa branch mismo ng eastwest para mag follow up kaso sa customer service lang daw un itawag.. magttxt/call or email din daw sakin.. ngaun hinihintay ko ung bago kong card kasi nireport na lost card para maiblocked.. ayun.. yung sayo??

        dumating ngayon ang package.. hahahha.. napirmahan ko akala ko kasi ung hinihintay ko e, pagkabasa ko ung JLM pala.. kaya nilagyan ko sa tabi ng pirma ko na for cancellation.. tapos tumawag yung messenger sa dun sa JLM sinumbong ako.. akalain mo yun.. kinausap ako, christopher yata ang name sabi na recorded dw yung usapan kaya hindi daw macacancel, need ko pa daw gumawa ng letter. sabi ko na tumawag na ako sa bank, hindi pa rin daw maaapproved ang cancellation kasi sila daw ang tatawag sa paypal.. sabi ko hindi naman ako nagconfirm, sabi nya napaka unprofessional naman daw kung magsasalita sya tapos itatanong pa kung confirm ako.. Grabbeeee!!! ganun lang talaga yun? Pag may nag promo ba sau porket na nakinig ka e YES mo na ba agad ang sagot dun.. Nakinig lang ako sa offer nya hanggang dun lang yun.. kung gusto nya ilabas nya yung sinasabing record ng usapan namin.. irereklamo ko nga yan sa DTI..

    diba nabigay mo ung 3 digit sa likod ng credit card mo?.. eh nag confirm ka nga nun.. pero nag oo ka na pumayag ka na mag avail ng card nila?..

      naibigay ko dahil sabi nya for security reason. hindi ako nag confirm o nagsabi na gusto ko, nakinig lang ako sa offer nya.. Nung bandang huli na may itatanong pa sana ako nagsasalita pa ako, e sabi nung babae na hindi na daw nila ako cocontakin ulit e bigla na lang din binaba kahit nagsasalita pa ako. at ang sabi nila kasama ng offer nila e hindi na rin daw ako magbabayad ng annual fee ng credit card ko.. meron ba ganun.. since first time ko magka credit card at napaniwala nila ako kaya naibigay ko din ang number sa likod, hindi ko naman akalain na para sa online purchase pala un at ang cc ko e wala pa ngang 1month sakin.. ngaun sinabi ko sakanila na pupuntahan ko sila sa opisina nila kung hindi nila icancel un.. naghihintay pa rin ako.. ikaw? ano na ginawa mo?

        Ako..wala din magbasa..kasi PayPal un ginamit nila pag purchase.at sabi ng eastwest.. Hnd na daw un mga cancel.. Kung alam ko daw na pinup chase un..ibig sabihin daw eh hnd un prudent..ang prudent daw eh ung hnd authorize na pagpurchase.. Kaya wala ako ngayon mgawa.. Hnd ko rin ma puntahan ung opis nla.. Tinawagan ko ung tumawag sakin na agent..ayun..inaway ko..sabi nila hnd daw sila affiliate sa eastwest eh yun kya ung pagkasabi nila sakin.tapos ngayon binabaw na nila..grabe talagang pagsisinungaling.tapos pagmagsasalita ako..grabe ng kabastusan ang ginagawa kasi sasabay talaga sya sa pagsasalita ko.. Pag mag explain ako.sasabay parin sya at kung ano anong sasabihin about sa product nila eh hnd naman un ang tinatanong ko..napasama walang modo talaga ng mga tanong un.. Sarap pagpapatayin eh.,kung may kakilala lang talaga akong hitman,hnd ako magdadalawang isip na gumastos ng malaki para ipapatay ang mga hinayupak na yun..mga halang na ang mga kaluluwa sa pangloloko…

        pag inaway mo sila irerefund nila un.. narefund nga ung sa iba e, y not ung sau? dapat lang din masigasig at matyaga ka.. hintayin ko lang ung result ng dispute letter ko.. kung wala pa rin, pupuntahan ng asawa ko ung office nila and hihingi din ako ng tulong sa kakilala kong pulis.. mali talaga un.. sa nakikita ko parang paulit ulit sila ng ginagawa.. sasama ka ba sakin kung saka sakali??
